City of Chanhassen warning residents of increase in mail thefts

The city of Chanhassen is warning residents about an increase in mail thefts.

According to a post from the city of Chanhassen, the Carver County Sheriff’s Office believes that the mail thefts are occurring during the overnight hours. Several mailboxes are being tampered with, according to the city.

The city recommends that residents:

  • Get mail from your mailbox daily.
  • Retrieve expected packages soon after delivery.
  • Mail checks at the post office.
