Minnesota Zoo, Como Park Zoo and Conservatory to temporarily close with new restrictions

Following Gov. Tim Walz’s announcement of new statewide COVID-19 restrictions, which will go into effect Friday night, Minnesota Zoo and Como Zoo and Conservatory are closing temporarily.

The zoos announced the news on their websites.

According to Minnesota Zoo, daytime attendance will close beginning Saturday but drive-thru events will still continue. On Friday, it announced a new drive-thru event that will start Dec. 3.

Como Zoo said it will close at the end of the day Friday and hopes to welcome back visitors "as soon as it is safe to do so."
