Police investigating possible homicide after body found in Minneapolis

Police have opened a homicide investigation after a body was found in Minneapolis Friday morning.

According to the city, officers were called to the 2700 block of 18th Avenue South at 10:27 a.m. on a report of a possible dead person inside a home. When officers arrived at the scene, they found the body of a man believed to be in his 20s.

The body was taken to the Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s Office, which will release the victim’s name and cause of death in the coming days.

The investigation into how the man died remains active.
