COVID-19 in Wisconsin: 78 new deaths, 6,473 new cases
Friday, Wisconsin health officials announced 78 new deaths related to COVID-19, moving the state’s total to 2,954 deaths since the pandemic began.
Additionally, the Wisconsin Department of Health Services (DHS) reported 190 new hospitalizations, moving the total number of hospitalizations during the pandemic to 15,526.
A total of 344,945 positive cases of COVID-19 have now been confirmed in Wisconsin, with 6,473 new cases reported Friday.

As of Friday, DHS reports that more than 2.40 million people have been tested in the state.
The state’s seven-day average positivity rate by person is at 31.7%.
