Warm and Sunny Saturday, Cool Front Comes Sunday

The weekend is expected to start off warm, however, temperatures are expected to drop slightly by Sunday, according to KSTP Chief Meteorologist Dave Dahl. 

Saturday, a high of 88 is expected in the Twin Cities, according to KSTP Meteorologist Nicole Mitchell. Plenty of sun is expected as well.


An air quality alert is active for most of the state through noon Sunday due to smoke from Canadian wildfires.

A cold front is expected to move into the area Sunday, bringing scattered rain and storms with it. Because of the rain, Dahl said temperatures should drop to the mid-80s.
