The trend of above-average temperatures is expected to continue for at least the next week, KSTP Meteorologist Nicole Mitchell said. That's a sharp contrast from this time last year, when Minnesota was bracing for a record cold outbreak.

Highs will be running just above average Tuesday and Wednesday but will be 10 to 15 degrees above the norm by the end of the week, Mitchell said. Perhaps more impressive, lows are expected to be 10 to 20 degrees above average this week.
