Snow, freezing rain return Friday

February 21, 2019 09:18 PM

Our streak of days without new snowfall won't make it to two as another winter storm moves into the area Friday.

KSTP Meteorologist Jonathan Yuhas said snow and freezing rain will develop at about 6 p.m. and continue into Saturday morning, ending at about 8 a.m.

The good news is only that round is only expected to drop 1-3" of snow, but roads could get icy due to freezing drizzle.

The high on Friday will get up to 30, but the day will be mostly cloudy with winds at about 5-15 mph.

But, Saturday will bring more drizzle and snow, continuing into Sunday, and that is expected to be the heavier dose of snow, with 4-8" possible and strong winds over 40 mph. If you plan to travel, make sure to check the KSTP app for the latest weather forecasts.
