Heavy snowfall prompted several cities to declare snow emergencies Wednesday.

St. Paul officials said beginning at 9 p.m. Wednesday, all night plow routes will be plowed - streets with signs posted that read "Night Plow Route" and "Night Plow Route-This Side of Street." Vehicles not removed from those routes by 9 p.m. Wednesday will be ticketed and towed.
