Slim Chance of Rain Wednesday Morning, Warm Weather Ahead

May 23, 2018 03:11 PM

The umbrella might not be a bad idea when leaving the house Wednesday morning, according to KSTP Chief Meteorologist Dave Dahl.

Dahl said there is a 40 percent chance of rain Wednesday morning. He said the showers would taper off by mid-day.

After the showers, afternoon sunshine is expected. Temperatures are expected to reach the 80s during the day.

Temperatures are expected to be in the 80s again Thursday. There is also another chance for rain that evening.

Moving into the weekend, temperatures are expected to rise. Dahl said the Twin Cities will have its first chance of seeing 90 degree temperatures.

Because of the warm conditions over the weekend, the National Weather Service issued a special weather statement.
