Scattered storms possible east, south of metro

Updated: August 07, 2019 08:03 AM

Scattered storms are possible Wednesday, mainly south and east of the metro.

Meteorologist Jonathan Yuhas said storms could move through western Wisconsin as well as Rochester and Winona late Wednesday morning and early afternoon.

Yuhas said a west-northwest wind up to 15 miles per hour is expected to move through the state, with stronger gusts possible near the storms.

Then, Yuhas said the sky will clear Wednesday night and patchy fog is likely.

Looking ahead, Yuhas said Thursday is expected to be mostly sunny and less humid.
