After a wet start to the week, one last onslaught of rainfall is expected to make its way through the state on Wednesday.
However, KSTP Chief Meteorologist Dave Dahl says the rainfall will not be severe as it makes it way into the Twin Cities. Most of the severe potential will be in northern Minnesota. Dahl adds a slight risk of severe weather is expected in the metro and southern part of the state from 4 to 9 p.m. Towards the Brainerd area, the risk is marginal during that time.
The high for the Twin Cities will be 88.
Dahl said Wednesday will be hot and humid like most of this summer, but it will only grow hotter as the week carries on.
On Thursday, highs in the 90s will begin and last up until the weekend.
