Rain, cooler temps expected Wednesday

After a beautiful Tuesday that saw temperatures make it to nearly 70 degrees in the Twin Cities, Wednesday will cool down and become rainy.

KSTP Meteorologist Ken Barlow said showers and possible thunderstorms are expected throughout the day Wednesday.

Temperatures will stay in the upper 40s to near 50 degrees and will feel much cooler than Tuesday.

Rain is expected to taper off late Wednesday and clear out a bit ahead of Thursday, creating a bit more sunshine Thursday, although it won't warm up much, Barlow said.

But, highs will be higher each of the next seven days, and a warm-up with a bit more sunshine is looking likely heading into this weekend.
