Rain ahead will persist throughout the weekend

May 15, 2019 10:25 PM

Overnight showers and thunderstorms could make their way into the morning commute, leaving some wet conditions to start the day, according to Chief KSTP Meteorologist Dave Dahl.

Dahl says storms could stick around until about 8 a.m. on Thursday.

But with a high of 80 in the Twin Cities, the wetness has a probability of drying up quickly. Temperatures up north will hover in the upper 50s and lower 60s Thursday. The rain could return later on in the evening, according to Dahl.

Friday will bring in a cooler system across the state, and rains will come along with it toward the afternoon.

Saturday and Sunday look like they're shaping up to be rainy and wet, so Dahl recommends grabbing some rain boots before you head out the door.
