Potentially Strong Thunderstorms, Some Hail Making its Way Through Metro

Thunderstorms containing heavy downpours in spots mixed with a possibility of hail is heading toward the Twin Cities Tuesday, according to KSTP Chief Meteorologist Dave Dahl.

According to the National Weather Service, the storms will heavily impact Anoka, Chisago and Isanti Counties.

Dahl said the thunderstorms have the potential of being a garden-variety batch of storms, as severe weather is unlikely. There will be a lot of lightning and scattered showers in the Twin Cities from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
