Much colder Friday will bring more chances for rain

Updated: October 10, 2019 10:27 PM

After a rainy day Thursday, the showers stick around Friday and much cooler temperatures will make it feel more like winter than fall.

KSTP Chief Meteorologist Dave Dahl said Friday will be much colder and windy with a chance for showers in the late afternoon.

Dahl said high temps Friday will only be around 40 degrees.

The chilly weather and precipitation will stay throughout the weekend, too, with highs near 40 on Saturday and Sunday and chances for rain and snow both days.

By Sunday morning, the Twin Cities could see a light coating of snow, Dahl said. However, the most significant winter weather will impact areas from Alexandria farther west into the Dakotas.
