More rain Friday, sunshine this weekend

May 23, 2019 10:03 PM

You won't need the sunscreen Friday, but you might this weekend.

KSTP Meteorologist Jonathan Yuhas said rain and thunderstorms will develop after 2 a.m. Friday and will likely continue into the mid to late afternoon hours.

Yuhas said things should clear up some after about 4 p.m. Highs Friday will be around 70 degrees, and Saturday and Sunday look even nicer.

The weekend will bring more sunshine little or no precipitation expected, Yuhas said. The highs each day will be in the mid-70s, making for a nice Memorial Day weekend.

However, Memorial Day itself may not be as nice with some storms and rain expected to return.
