Hot, humid weather Friday and this weekend, spotty storms possible

Hot and humid weather returns Friday, and it's going to stick around for a bit.

KSTP Chief Meteorologist Dave Dahl said high temperatures Friday will get back near 90, with the Twin Cities expected to top out at 88 degrees. There is a slight chance for spotty showers and storms, with the best chance in the afternoon and evening hours, but the day won't be a washout.

We will see some 90s over the next week as that hot and humid weather sticks around through the weekend and much of next week, Dahl said. With that, the chance for spotty showers and storms will also stick around.

Saturday and Sunday look to be partly cloudy, but mostly dry to go with the heat and humidity.
