Rain will fall and a few scattered storms are expected Wednesday morning in the metro.
Chief Morning Meteorologist Ken Barlow advised leaving slightly earlier for the morning commute.
KSTP Traffic Reporter Josie Smith added drivers were doubling their travel times Wednesday morning due to the rain.

Barlow said heavy rain and some small hail will possibly accompany the thunderstorms Wednesday morning. Barlow said the line of rain and thunder will move out of the Twin Cities around 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.
Then, Wednesday is expected to turn into a warm and windy day with partial sunshine.
Looking ahead, Thursday is expected to be a dry day with temperatures hovering in the 80s. Clouds will thicken Thursday night and showers and storms are once again possible Friday.
