Friday's heat will stick around another day before fading and giving way to some storms this weekend.

KSTP Chief Meteorologist Dave Dahl said Saturday will be another hot day with highs in the upper 80s and plenty of sunshine most of the day.

But, some parts of northwest Minnesota in the Moorhead area could see some strong to severe storms Saturday afternoon to evening, and the Twin Cities area will get hit with showers and storms most likely on Sunday.

With the showers and storms, temps Sunday will top out in the low to mid-70s, which looks to be the case for a good portion of next week as well.
