The Vikings returned to practicing outside Thursday afternoon after evacuating fans from training camp at Twin Cities Orthopedics Performance Center due to weather concerns, according to KSTP's Darren Wolfson.
The team forced fans to leave practice earlier in the afternoon because of risks posed by lightning in the area. The team also moved its practice indoors for a short time.

KSTP Meteorologist Wren Clair said storms and showers are expected in the south metro during the day Thursday.
Feel bad for the fans who have to exit. But lightning close enough by means fans evacuated. Have to imagine players and media will be evacuated to indoors pretty quick too. #Vikings pic.twitter.com/5CJOL9DbwS— Darren Wolfson (@DWolfsonKSTP) August 16, 2018
