Early freezing drizzle, fog to affect morning commute Tuesday

Minnesotans should plan ahead of some possible delays in traffic due to weather Tuesday morning. 

KSTP Chief Meteorologist Dave Dahl says some freezing drizzle will being to fall overnight into the morning hours, creating some slick spots in different areas. There will also be some fog as well.

An advisory went into effect Tuesday, warning about freezing drizzle and fog in much of the state.

Dahl said the high in the Twin Cities on Tuesday will be around the freezing point, at 31 degrees.

A cold front is on its way. Dahl says temperatures will begin to drop starting Wednesday, with highs in the low-20s. Thursday's low will be in the single-digits, followed by an even colder weekend. According to Dahl, it will be the first time this season overnight lows will be below zero starting Friday night into Saturday.
