Decreasing clouds and frigid temperatures expected throughout Saturday

The cold blast is just beginning for most of Minnesota Saturday morning.

According to KSTP Meteorologist Nicole Mitchell, temperatures will continue to fall throughout the day with the high peaking at 9 degrees and a low of negative 7. With the wind chill, it will feel as cold as negative 15 degrees in the metro overnight. In northern Minnesota wind chill could reach negative 30 or colder tonight.

Sunday will stay much the same with mostly sun but temperatures only reaching 9 degrees again. 

After Sunday it will begin to warm with the seven-day forecast high temperature peaking at 30 degrees on Friday.
