Metro Transit officials said crews repaired a cracked track that forced Blue Line operations down to a single track Wednesday.
The update was issued just before 7:30 a.m.

According to a Metro Transit spokesperson, northbound and southbound trains were forced to share a single track Wednesday morning between the Cedar Avenue station and the Mall of America as a result of the crack.
METRO Blue Line riders, due to weather related issue, trains are using only one track between Cedar Avenue Station and the Mall of America. Please listen to announcements at stations and bundle up as there may be delays.— Metro Transit (@MetroTransitMN) January 30, 2019
Chief Morning Meteorologist Ken Barlow said the coldest air in 23 years arrived Tuesday night into Wednesday, with wind chills in the minus 50-degree range.
