Cool, stormy weekend ahead

We've got a cool and rainy weekend in store, and the early portion of next week doesn't look to be much different.

KSTP Meteorologist Nicole Mitchell said rain and storms are expected in the Twin Cities on both Saturday and Sunday with temperatures Saturday around 60 and possibly below 50 on Sunday.

A band of storms reached the state and started making its way across the area Friday night.

The storms are expected to reach the Twin Cities in the early hours of Saturday morning, but another system will hit the area Saturday evening.

More rain and even cooler temps on Sunday will make for a somewhat unpleasant weekend.
