Sunday in the metro area is expected to be cold and partly sunny.

Meteorologist Jonathan Yuhas said metro area residents can expect morning sunshine before increasing cold cover in the afternoon.

Meanwhile, Yuhas said 5-to-15-mph winds from the southwest are expected Sunday.

The high is expected to be 30 degrees.

Looking ahead, Yuhas said there is a chance for light snow on Monday and Tuesday. Then, Thanksgiving is expected to be mild before rain and snow possibly hit the metro Friday and Saturday.
