Minnesotans are advised to prepare their morning commutes a little earlier than usual for Tuesday.

According to KSTP meteorologist Wren Clair, about an inch of snow could coat streets overnight, creating a tough morning commute. In total, the Twin Cities could see 1 to 3 inches of snow for the day.

Clair says the high on Tuesday will be 21, however strong winds will certainly make it feel colder. The northern part of the state could see a heavier snowfall. The snow in the Twin Cities will taper off by the late afternoon hours, according to Clair.

For the rest of the week, an arctic front moves through the state and temperatures will be mainly in the single digits through next weekend.
