After serving as an assistant coach for the USA Volleyball Under-19 team last season, Gophers volleyball coach Keegan Cook will be the team’s head coach at the World Championships this summer.

His Team USA roster includes incoming Gophers freshmen Kelly Kinney and Jordan Taylor.

They 2025 FIVB Girls U19 World Championship runs July 2-13 in Osijek, Croatia, and Vrnjacka Banja, Serbia. The U.S. will compete in a pool against Turkey, Bulgaria, Poland, Peru and Spain.

KSTP Sports caught up with Coach Cook on campus to discuss the upcoming tournament.

Another Gopher – redshirt freshman Stella Swenson from Minnetonka – will play for the U.S. Under-21 team at an international event this summer as well.
