As Labor Day creeps near, so does the end of what the Minnesota Department of Public Safety dubs as the 100 deadliest days of the year.
So far, there have been 90 traffic-related fatalities since Memorial Day, according to DPS. That's one less death than the same point last year.
Of those 90 fatalities, 25 were speed-related, 22 were alcohol-related and least seven were distraction-related.
Thirty-one of the fatalities were motorcyclists, according to DPS.
DPS reports the fatalities that have occurred so far in the 100 deadliest days count for 46 percent of all traffic fatalities in 2018.
The 100 deadliest days begin on Memorial Day and end on Labor Day, according to DPS.
