A Wisconsin man was arrested last week after a train hit his truck in Maiden Rock, Wis.
The Pierce County Sheriff's Office said it was notified that a train had hit a truck at about 3:49 a.m. on Thursday.
Authorities determined a 2000 Ford F-250 pickup truck was stuck on the railroad tracks at the Chester Street crossing as a train approached. The driver, identified as 23-year-old Christopher Longsdorf, of Plum City, Wis., was able to exit the vehicle and make it to safety before the train crashed into the truck, pushing it down the tracks and causing it to catch fire.
Longsdorf was arrested on suspicion of operating a vehicle while intoxicated and with a revoked license, according to the sheriff's office.
No injuries were reported.
