A slew of crashes caused delays throughout the metro Thursday morning.

According to authorities in St. Cloud, westbound Interstate 94 lanes reopened after being temporarily closed due to a crash in the area.

Smith said traffic had slowed to a near stop in both directions.

Additionally, westbound lanes of Interstate 694 near Little Canada reopened after being temporarily closed Thursday morning due to a multi-vehicle crash.

Lanes reopened just before 7 a.m.

KSTP Traffic Reporter Josie Smith said the interstate's westbound lanes were temporarily shut down after the crash, which also involved two semi trucks.

Smith said traffic was diverted to Interstate 35E southbound during the closure.

Authorities have not yet said whether anyone was hurt in the crash.

Meanwhile, Smith said a jackknifed semi blocked a couple of westbound Interstate 494 lanes at Hardman Avenue in South St. Paul.
