A woman is dead after a crash and car fire on northbound Interstate 35E in White Bear Lake Monday morning.

KSTP Traffic Reporter Josie Smith said the incident happened just prior to County Road J.

A Minnesota State Patrol accident report said a Honda CRV, driven by a 50-year-old Minneapolis woman, was northbound on I-35E when it went off the road at County Road H2.

The report states the Honda went off the road to the right ditch and struck a cement sound barrier post, ejecting the driver from the vehicle.

The woman died at the scene. She was later identified on the accident report as Leslie Katherine Goodale.
