Vehicle Crashes into Lights, Signs and Service Station in Lauderdale

Neighbors were startled awake when a car plowed through a Lauderdale street's signs and lights before crashing into a service station Tuesday night.

The vehicle was traveling along Larpenteur Avenue near Eustis Street just after 11 p.m. when it plowed into the signs and lights, eventually crashing into the service station.

A witness said it took a few minutes for everyone to figure out what had happened.

"It took them about 10 to 15 minutes, maybe 15 minutes to figure out there was one gentlemen inside the vehicle and they were able to pull him out. He came out walking."

The man was transported to Hennepin County Medical Center.

KSTP is working to learn more about the victim's condition and what may have caused the crash.
