Minneapolis police say all three people in a vehicle that fled from police before crashing Monday afternoon were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The vehicle crashed into another vehicle at University and 17th avenues, knocking that vehicle into a pickup truck.

Two people in the vehicle that was struck - a Honda Element - as well as one person in the pickup were also taken to the hospital with injuries described as non-life threatening.

On Monday, a police spokesperson said officers observed the vehicle driving erratically. They soon lost sight of it and terminated the pursuit. Around one minute later, the vehicle crashed.

Police said the driver of the vehicle being pursued jumped out and fled on foot before he was captured.
