Another traffic shift will go into place along I-35W this week.

Crews will shift southbound traffic along I-35W between County Road 96 in Arden Hills to County Road 88 in New Brighton starting Monday night.

This is the last stretch of road in the work zone that needs to be moved over to the northbound lanes for the 2019 construction season.

The new configuration will last until November and is part of the larger MnPASS project in that area.

Watch for new ramp closures in the north metro this week, too. Highway 10 eastbound to County Road 96 in Arden Hills closes Monday until August 24.  Drivers can use the exit from I-35W to County Road 96 instead.

The ramp from I-35W southbound to Lexington Avenue in Blaine closes Tuesday until early August. Drivers will be detoured to 95th Avenue.

If you travel near downtown Minneapolis, MnDOT has scheduled a couple more overnight closures along I-35W.

The southbound lanes will shut down between I-94 and Highway 62 Wednesday and Thursday from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. each night
