Northstar riders experienced "significant" delays Thursday morning.
The northbound Northstar from Target Field and the southbound Northstar from Big Lake were halted at Elk River for a period of time due to a vehicle/trailer that was stuck on the tracks.
Riders were delayed while crews worked to clear the scene, which happened just before 8 a.m.

According to Metro Transit officials, delays were averaging about 30 minutes while crews worked to remove the stuck vehicle and launch an inspection.

We are working with BNSF to clear the tracks and resume service. Thank you for your patience.— Metro Transit (@MetroTransitMN) February 21, 2019
