A stretch of highway in southern Minnesota closed by a mudslide last weekend has reopened, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation.
Highway 68 west of Blue Earth County Road 45 near Courtland was closed Sunday due to mud, fallen trees and debris on the roadway.
As crews cleared the original mudslide, a large shelf of additional mud and trees concerned MnDOT, so they kept the highway closed while the slope was stabilized.
But on Thursday, MnDOT said crews have cleared the highway and stabilized the area.
