The driver then left the vehicle behind and entered a light rail tunnel, the spokesperson said.

At that point, Metro Transit authorities were notified and light rail service to the airport was temporarily suspended.

Officers found the stolen vehicle in an airport parking ramp and the suspect about an hour later at the light rail tunnel entrance near Terminal 2.

The suspect is in custody and charges are pending, the spokesperson said.
