A pickup truck was rear-ended by another car in Stearns County on Tuesday and police are suspecting alcohol to be a factor in the crash.

According to the Stearns County Sheriff's Office, the crash happened at 12:29 p.m. on County Road 3 and County Road 75 in St. Joseph Township.

The driver of the pickup, 26-year-old Ashley Prestidge, from Albany, Minnesota, was driving her 2018 Chevrolet Silverado and was stopped at a red light at the intersection of County Road 3 and County Road 75, eastbound. A 2015 Ford Focus, driven by 45-year-old Jaon Panteloglow, of Thief River Falls, rear-ended the pickup truck. The Focus suffered extensive damage in the crash.

Prestidge suffered minor injuries and was treated at the scene. Panteloglow did not sustain any injuries.

Alcohol is believed to be a factor in the crash and it remains under investigation.
