If you have plans to get out of town this weekend, be prepared for lane restrictions and road closures north and south of the metro.

In central Minnesota, a portion of Highway 27 is closed east of Lastrup between 350th Street and County Road 47 for a bridge replacement project. The work lasts until mid-August. Motorists are being detoured to County Road 47 and County Highway 23. Learn more about the project.

Meanwhile, Highway 169 is open in Garrison, but the roadway is down to one lane in each direction between Highway 17 and County Road 26. Crews are in the process of restoring an historic bridge in the area. The work continues until late October. Learn more about the project.

If you're heading south of the metro, don't forget about a relatively new project on Interstate 35. The roadway has been down to one lane near Faribault for the last couple of weeks. The configuration will stay in place until this fall. Learn more about the project.
