St. Paul police respond to crash that killed 1 pedestrian, injured another

The St. Paul Police Department responded to a vehicle collision that killed one pedestrian and injured another.

According to police, the crash occurred Friday night at McKnight Road North and Burns Avenue in St. Paul.


Police officials identified the pedestrians as two women. The officials confirmed one woman was killed. 


Police said the other woman was taken to Regions Hospital. 

"The good news is that the driver stopped right away," Steve Linders, with the St. Paul Police Department, said. "Someone called 911, medics were able to get here and they were able to transport the woman to the hospital."
