The release states the sergeant attempted to stop the motorcyclist for excessive speeding around 3:15 a.m. Saturday. The motorcycle is alleged to have been traveling north on Forest Boulevard at speeds estimated at more than 100 miles per hour.

But, according to the release, the motorcycle failed to stop, and the sergeant initiated a pursuit northbound on Golden Avenue. Shortly after turning onto Golden Avenue, however, the release states the motorcycle left the roadway and hit the driveway approach.

The entire pursuit was around a half-mile in length. The release states Lindman was wearing a helmet during the incident.
