UPDATE: Motorcyclist Killed in Prior Lake Crash Identified

One person was killed Thursday in a crash involving a motorcycle on Highway 13 in Prior Lake, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.


The incident report said the crash occurred at 4:45 p.m. on Highway 13 near 150th Street Southeast. 

The State Patrol said a Suzuki motorcycle, driven by 36-year-old Lakeville man, was southbound on Highway 13 when it was broadsided by a northbound Ford F150 turning onto 150th Street Southeast. 

The incident report said the driver of the Ford turned on a flashing yellow signal. 

The driver of the motorcycle died from his injuries, according to the incident report. The State Patrol did not release the name of the man. 

The driver of the Ford, an 18-year-old, did not suffer any injuries. 

The crash caused a portion of the highway to close Thursday evening.
