Two people are dead and three were hurt after a four-vehicle crash Thursday in Rosemount, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.

The crash occurred around 12:21 p.m. Thursday at Highway 55 and Doyle Path in Rosemount.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol incident report, a Sterling AT9500 semi was eastbound and stopped to turn left onto Doyle Path.

Next, a Subaru Legacy and Dodge Ram pulled up behind the semi, waiting to turn left as well.

The incident report says a Volvo dump truck struck the Dodge Ram from behind, pushing it into the ditch. The dump truck then struck the Subaru Legacy, wedging it in between the semi and the dump truck.

The state patrol reported the driver and passenger in the Subaru Legacy - identified as 45-year-old William Louis Craig and 48-year-old Colette Larae Craig - were killed.

The incident report identified 67-year-old William John Hayes as driving the semi, 55-year-old Neal Leonard Wagner as driving the Dodge Ram and 46-year-old Fred Tamu Fonji as driving the Volvo dump truck. All three suffered injuries that were not considered life-threatening.

The road was closed for several hours but reopened at about 8 p.m.
