Pedestrian Killed in St. Cloud Hit-and-Run Identified

The pedestrian who died after being struck in a hit-and-run Wednesday afternoon in St. Cloud has been identified.

According to the St. Cloud Police Department, 84-year-old Mohammed Aga Intale of St. Cloud was walking in or near the crosswalk at the intersection of Fifth Avenue and North First Street at about 3 p.m. when he was struck.


Intale was taken to the St. Cloud Hospital where he later died.

The driver, identified as 20-year-old Jeremiah Markus Brown of St. Cloud, reportedly fled the scene and was later located at a residence on the 1300 block of 12th Avenue North.

Brown was arrested and taken to the Stearns County Jail, where he is awaiting formal charges, according to police.
