MnDOT said drivers in that area should wait to travel until conditions improve Sunday.

Blue Earth county issued a statement that plows will even be off the roads for the remainder of Saturday.

State Patrol reported a total of 403 crashes as of 8:45 p.m. Saturday. There was also a total of 738 vehicle spinouts, or vehicles that went off the road.

In the metro, drivers spoke with a KSTP reporter, saying they only ventured out onto the roads if needed.

KSTP Meteorologist Nicole Mitchell said the snow is expected to continue into Sunday and taper off early Monday morning.
