According to the release, 18-year-old Nathan Schmidt, a passenger in the truck, was airlifted from the scene to North Memorial Health Hospital. The sheriff's office also said 17-year-old Adam Young, another passenger, was transported to St. Cloud Hospital and was later airlifted to Hennepin Healthcare. As of Sunday, the two teens were in critical but stable condition, according to the sheriff's office.

Klaphake and three others were treated at St. Cloud Hospital for injuries. All four were treated and released, according to the release.

The sheriff's office said the investigation has, "provided evidence that Klaphake had been consuming alcoholic beverages." The release added that a preliminary breath test revealed the presence of alcohol. A warrant was obtained for a blood sample from Klaphake, and further alcohol testing will be done, the sheriff's office said.
