Now that the Fourth of July is behind us, road crews are ready to get to work on a couple of major projects.

Highway 55 is closing between the cities of Buffalo and Rockford starting Monday, July 9. A nearly 8-mile segment will close between Division Street and the Crow River Bridge as part of a reconstruction and resurfacing project. The work will continue until middle-to-late August. The detour takes drivers about 20 miles out of the way along Highway 25, Highway 12, County Road 139, County Road 11 and County Road 92.
