Motorists will be detoured to continue on I-94 West to I-394 West to Highway 100 South to Highway 62 East, a release said. Drivers coming from the east metro on I-94 and traveling to the south are asked to use alternate routes including Interstate 494, Highway 52 and Interstate 35E.
The ramp is being closed so crews can do utility work and repave it. It's part of a larger four-year reconstruction project on Interstate 35W between 43rd Street and downtown Minneapolis.
