Police: Hwy. 12 Reopens in Maple Plain/Independence Area after Fatal Crash

The video above aired earlier this week, when a safety plan was announced for Hwy. 12.


A portion of Highway 12 in the Maple Plane/Independence area was closed Friday evening after a fatal crash, according to the West Hennepin Public Safety.

The Minnesota State Patrol said the crash occurred on Highway 12 between Valley Road and Railroad Avenue. Drivers were asked to use alternative routes if possible.

The highway reopened just after 8 p.m.

West Hennepin Public Safety confirmed the crash was fatal.
