Drivers are in for a few more road closures around the metro this week.

On Sunday night, the southbound lanes along Interstate 35W will close from Interstate 94 to Highway 62 in south Minneapolis starting at 10 p.m. until 5 a.m. Monday. When you head back to work on Monday morning, the ramp from I-35W southbound to 46th Street will be closed until early July. In the meantime, drivers can use the exit at Diamond Lake Road instead.

And MnDOT has scheduled several more overnight closures for I-94 for this week. The eastbound lanes of I-94 are shutting down Monday and Tuesday from I-394 to I-35W starting at 10 p.m. each evening and wrapping up by 5 a.m. the following morning. Crews will be working on the new I-35W northbound "flyover" ramp to I-94 westbound. On Wednesday and Thursday nights, I-94 will close in both directions between I-394 and the Hennepin/Lyndale Avenue exit. The roadway will shut down each night beginning at 10 p.m. until 5 a.m the following day while crews clean the Lowry Hill Tunnel.

In the north metro, be prepared for a major traffic shift in a busy work zone. Traffic on southbound I-35W between County Road J and County Road H in Moundsview will be shifted to the northbound lanes starting at 8 p.m. Monday. At the same time, the ramp from I-35W southbound to County Road I will close. Traffic will be detoured to County Road H. The changes in the work zone will last until November.

In the east metro, Highway 95 is closing in Cottage Grove starting early Monday morning. The roadway will shut down between 70th Street and Highway 61 until late August for safety improvements. Drivers will be detoured to Keats Avenue.

In Eagan, work continues along Cliff Road. Starting Tuesday, the eastbound side of Cliff Road will shut down between the Highway 77/Cedar Avenue ramps. Work begins at 5 a.m. and the westbound lanes will reopen in time for the eastbound side to close. Drivers will be detoured south on Cedar Avenue to I-35E, where drivers can use the loops to bypass the closure.
